Popular Entertainer Has M.S. Appealing for Assistance
Fans of performing artist Marlyn Vansen were surprised over the weekend when she posted about her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. The singer, dancer, and mother of a one year old daughter posted to her Facebook that in addition to these identities, she is now also an M.S. Warrior. She was diagnosed on January eighth with the autoimmune disease and says while there is no cure, she is appealing to her fans for help obtaining medication to help slow the progression. She says she is experiencing seizures, extreme fatigue, loss of limb movements, and blurry vision. The medication is not currently available in Belize and very costly. Vansen declined to comment today, but she is asking anyone who would like to help to contact her family members like her mother Marcella Vansen at 614- 3723, or her husband Ashton at 614-4232.
