FM Courtenay Congratulates Mia Mottley on Re-election

Today, Foreign Minister Eamon Courtenay congratulated Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley for her party’s landslide win and return to office.

“I think once again, Prime Minister Mottley showed us that she is a master politician. Anybody who calls an election more than a year and a half before it’s due and win thirty to nothing, must have a very good field and touch for the pulse of the people. She has demonstrated that. We have very good relations with Barbados as a C.A.R.I.C.O.M. member state, Commonwealth member state. We look forward to welcoming Prime Minister Mottley to Belize for the C.A.R.I.C.O.M. intercessional at the end of February and more than congratulations are due to her.”
