M.O.H.W. Issues Warning About Unauthorized COVID Testing

It seems some people have begun cashing in on the COVID-19 testing market, without the approval of the Ministry of Health. Today the M.O.H.W. issued a reminder that Statutory Instrument Number fifteen of 2022 states that every person who desires to offer testing for COVID must apply in writing to the ministry responsible for health for approval. Anyone violating this regulation faces a fine of five thousand dollars Belize. The ministry reminds the public that COVID-19 testing continues to be offered free of cost at M.O.H.W. testing sites and at health facilities countrywide, and for a fee at designated providers only.
