Council of Churches Stands With Ukraine; Prays for Peace

The Belize Council of Churches issued a statement today on the Russian attack on the Ukrainian people. The Council says it joins the government of Belize, members of CARICOM, and citizens around the world who are crying out for justice and peace in the unjustified invasion of Ukraine by Russia. The council stands in solidarity with all those praying for peace and thanks God for the thousands who have come to the aid of those suffering. They also pray that God will turn the hearts and minds of those in power behind the aggression and are praying for the innocent victims on both sides of this senseless conflict – the people of Ukraine, as well as the people of Russia.
