Player Jayda Brown Encourages Young Women to Pursue Their Sports Dreams

An emotional Jayda Brown also took questions from the press following the game. Here is what she had to say.

“I feel extremely excited because we have had tremendous growth. We are here to represent our people, to show that Belize does have talent.  Over the past two months, just during our training as well we have learnt to play as a team, to study other teams, because we have learnt from other teams as well. We have learnt to communicate better, work as a team, and to conquer the game.  To the kids back home, not only home but worldwide, believe in yourself because I was once in their position where I saw other players and I wanted to be like them. I wanted to have the opportunity to play in the world cup, for the qualifying. So guys, believe in yourself because dreams do come true, but you have to be able to work towards that dream.”
