COVID Still Real, So Be Careful During Your Easter Travel

Oscar Arnold

While restrictions have been eased on either side of the border, COVID is still real. Ambassador Oscar Arnold cautions Belizean travelers to Mexico to remain vigilant, practice social distancing and follow mask wearing measures.

Oscar Arnold, Belizean Ambassador to Mexico

“People are still dying from this virus and are still contracting the virus. While the numbers are way down and have been trending down, I still want to encourage Belizeans to be please use the best practices that we’ve come to know – social distancing, sanitization, wearing your mask properly. It is not mandated in Mexico and in some of the other states, but they will insist that you wear your masks, one. There are sanitizing stations in almost every building that you go into – restaurants, bars and so on, hotels. So continue to do that. The pandemic is still with us. I would hate to think that somebody would on their vacation that they should be enjoying, would contract the virus.  Enjoy your holidays, but be responsible at the same time – responsible for your health and your family’s health. We know what they are – wearing your masks, sanitize your hands frequently, don’t touch your face and also make sure that you practice social distancing as much as possible as you can.”
