Prime Minister Leads Delegation to Cuba to Hold Bi-Lateral Discussions
Leaving Belize today for Cuba was Prime Minister John Briceño and a delegation of high-level officials. The group is expected to maximize Belize’s longstanding diplomatic ties with their Cuban counterparts to discuss matters relating to health, COVID, education, tourism and potential new industries. The team is comprised of Foreign Minister, Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Health and Wellness, Kevin Bernard, Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, Kareem Musa, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, and C.E.O. in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ambassador, Amalia Mai. The Prime Minister is expected to return to Belize on April thirtieth, 2022. During his absence, Deputy Prime Minister, Cordel Hyde will act as Prime Minister.
