Training Seeks To Provide Improved Quality of Care to the Public
The training is being provided to all the managers in the ministry, across the six districts. The sessions are relevant to the quality of care that health managers provide to patients, advised Director of Hospital Services and Allied Health, Dr. Jorge Polanco.

“The core of discussion will be the existing structure of information we have and that should enable us to describe what we do to the health status of our communities, that upon a proper analysis, tells us what the gaps in the health services are and that should guide us in the day-to-day decision-making process. This is the information system that exists in Belize, but the challenges, and I would want to believe you’ll all agree with me, is that it is not used to its maximum potential. Perhaps we’re starting, and this training that will continue for the next few months should be milestones to push us to take ownership, which will motivate us as managers to use it at the end of the day in benefit of the people we serve.”
