PM Briceño Attends IX Summit of the Americas in California
Prime Minister John Briceño departed the country on Tuesday, June seventh to Los Angeles, California, to attend the Ninth Summit of the Americas from June eighth to the tenth. The Prime Minister is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Eamon Courtenay and Ambassador Stuart Leslie. The Summit of the Americas is being held under the theme, “Building a Sustainable Resilient and Equitable Future”. At the opening of the summit, United States President Joe Biden announced the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity, a new agreement to drive economic recovery and growth. In the absence of Prime Minister Briceño, Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde will act as Prime Minister.
