FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, Scheduled To Visit Belize

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino will be in Belize ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Infantino is scheduled to pay a visit to the Football Federation of Belize’s headquarters in Belmopan on Wednesday where he will brief the press. When we caught up with Minister of Sports, Rodwell Ferguson earlier today, we asked him about the significance of the visit.

Just last three weeks ago when they had the camp for schools and we are going to implement it in the near future, Belize has been chosen as the fourteenth country out of two hundred and eleven countries. That is significant. And, if the president is coming before a World Cup, that is showing how important Belize is, even though we are small we can reach the stage where FIFA wants us to reach.
