AIDS Task Force hold consultation workshop
The National AIDS Task Force is embarking on an ambitious drive, which it hopes will lead to the development of policies directly addressing the issues of H.I.V. and AIDS. The Task Force has organized the first in a series of consultation workshops for Thursday in Belize City, where top level personnel from various government ministries and non-governmental organizations will discuss areas that need immediate attention as Belize grapples with the task of preventing and controlling the spread of AIDS. The aim of the one day workshop, which will be held at the Belize Institute of Management, is to sensitize participants of the role each of them play in controlling the deadly disease and to involve the N.G.O. community in the formulation of the policies.
