Businesses commit to support Channel 5’s tribute/benefit concert
The countdown is on and in less than twenty-four hours, the grandest cultural show will kick off. Channel Five’s live concert is a tribute to the late musical icon Andy Palacio and a fundraiser to support relief efforts for the island of Haiti. More and more businesses are committing to support the initiative and you can be part of this great humanitarian effort by contributing a small entrance fee of five dollars or more. There will be superb performances by the unmatchable lineup of artists including Umalali, the Garifuna Collective with Lloyd Augustine and Paul Nabor, Supa G and the Danger Zone Band. You simply can’t miss this one of a kind extravaganza, and there’s more because one lucky winner will have a chance to win the grand gate prize… a brand new thirty inch stove, courtesy of Tropigas Limited. Contact our office if you wish to present a donation of your own during the live broadcast of the concert. The legendary Andy Palacio died on January nineteenth 2008, and our concert is in celebration of his life. The proceeds will be presented to the Red Cross to assist Haiti, which was devastated by a massive earthquake and numerous damaging aftershocks. Be generous in helping to rebuild Haiti, so come out and support the fundraising effort this Friday night, starting at eight p.m. right here at Channel Five on Coney Drive.
