Taking Coke from Jamaica to the US via Belize

Christopher 'Dudus' Coke

Since violence broke in Jamaica one week ago over the extradition of the alleged drug king pin, Christopher “Dudus” Coke, there has been speculation that Coke may leave the island to avoid the long arms of the law. According to a U.S televised report on CBS this past Monday night, an internal intelligence document obtained by the station says that Coke and his cohorts, “using fishing boats and small planes, may attempt to flee the violence and enter the United States illegally to fights another day and control Jamaican criminal activity in the United States”. According to the CBS document, Coke and his people may attempt to use Belize to enter the US. CBS also reports that a lawyer for Coke is in talks with the Justice Department about his safe transfer to the US. It is an alarming report, which we cannot confirm, but if true could have serious repercussions for Belize. The justice department considers Coke one of the most dangerous drug lords. Back at Tivoli Gardens in Jamaica, the neighborhood controlled by Coke Shower Posse, it is reported that up to seventy persons have been killed in gun battle between the security forces and civilians.
