Murder at Fish Market; George Street’s Avondale Fuller gunned down

A well known associate of the George Street gang has been gunned down this evening by the Vernon Street Fish Market. Avondale Fuller, also known as Hagbone, was shot and killed and according to reports, by a barrage of bullets.  Fuller is by trade, a fisherman of sixty six West Street. But his reputation from George Street was what many believe caused a major shoot-out that sent fishermen, and market goers running for cover.  News Five was on the scene and at least nine expended shells had been located. Police Press Officer Fitzroy Yearwood told News Five about their findings so far.

“Another shooting incident occurred in Belize City that claimed the life of Avondale Fuller Trumbach. This happened sometime around four-thirty-four in the Conchshell Bay Area. I know that Mister Fuller was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. He received multiple gunshots to the body. I know we have investigators presently on the scene canvassing the area and we are hoping—this is a broad daylight killing—we are hoping that we have witnesses that may come forward and assist us in this yet another murder investigation.”

“Looking at the crime scene, we can see at least nine slugs, expended shells on the ground. You see about six holes in the back of a vehicle. Was that black vehicle his?”

“Well I cannot say whose vehicle it was. All I know is that he was ambushed and received several gunshot wounds.”

“There is also a vehicle that’s crashed into a lamppost. It looks like the lamppost is falling over. Was this a chase?”

“It wasn’t a chase. From what we understand so far is that when Fuller was killed, a vehicle end up slamming into another vehicle that end up slamming into a lamppost. Like I said, it’s too early to comment on all that so let’s just take this investigation one step at a time.”

Evondale Fuller celebrated his twenty ninth birthday on April Fourth.   There were reports that a child was injured during the ruckus. Apparently the child was knocked down by a vehicle during the shooting.  Doctors, however, have confirmed that there were no fractures to his leg. We’ll have more on this on Wednesday’s newscast.
