Scare at Belize Consul in the U.S.A.

An online report of an incident in the United States has caught the attention of the diplomatic corps.  A bomb threat in Wilmington, North Carolina earlier today forced occupants of a two-storey office building, which houses the honorary consulate for Belize, to evacuate the premises.  Around eight o’clock in the morning, Belizean Honorary Consul Ed Paul Junior discovered a mysterious parcel with an incoherent message attached to it at his office situated at 1135 Military Cutoff Road.  He immediately notified the Wilmington Police Department and a bomb squad was dispatched to the area.  The building, known as New Hanover Regional Medical Center, was surrounded by officers who told arriving patients that they could not enter the building.  An hour and a half later a police robot entered the building accompanied by an officer in body armor.  The robot later emerged without the package and by eleven o’clock the building was reopened.  Police investigations continue into the incident.
