Minister receives treatment in U.S.; Opposition Leader’s mom passes
There is word to News Five that the Minister of Housing, Michael Finnegan is in Houston Texas, where he is receiving medical attention. Finnegan is consulting with a neurosurgeon on a condition that has been causing him acute pain in the past year. From what we gather, he is likely to have surgery to repair two discs on his back that have been pressing on a nerve root and causing the pain in his left leg. The Minister is likely to be out of the country for three weeks, so if he is not seen in his routine visits throughout his constituency, it is because he is away on medical treatment. There is also news of the passing of Miss Molly Fonseca, the mother of the Leader of the Opposition Francis Fonseca and Doctor Carol Fonseca. She is also survived by her husband, William. Miss Molly, as she is affectionately known, passed away on Labor Day after ailing for some time. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.
This da why these ministers the thief outright to pay for all their bills in the us. Belizean tax dollars at work.
Condolences goes out the the Hon. Leader of the Opposition on the passing of his mother. Times like these we have to look pass the political lines and be nice and considerate.
Also well wishes goes out to the Hon. Michael Finnegan – hopes he gets better soon…
@Rod, the average Belizean die from lack of access to good medical care, while the politicians can board a plane at the drop of a hat and be gone to the US. How many women die from breast cancer in Belize each year, Prime Minister’s wife got great care for her Cancer. Barraow needs to work towards getting better health care for the country.
Some pigs are more equal than others. Finnegan does not go to KHMH where we have to go. he goes to Detroit and Houston, but you and I pay for his bill that is the sad part.
As one who knows and lives it, medical treatment in the US is not cheap. Who pays for these medical bills? If I didn’t have a well paid job with medical coverage,I would not be able to cover such cost.Is the treatment in Belize not good enough for the ministers & their families? Voters should think about these things before casting their votes
@disownmicountry, you’re 100% right. I read it’s the same in the US, the President and Congress are fighting even today to make sure that they are NOT required to participate in Obamacare, they want their own special deal!
HYPOCRITES RULE! But that doesn’t make them right.
