Ambassador says he is concerned if Taiwanese nationals also broke immigration laws

The Ambassador of Taiwan to Belize has remained under the radar as it relates to the passport scandal even though Wonhong Kim was in a Taipei prison when he obtained Belizean nationality and citizenship. Ambassador David Wu told News Five today that while he shared information about Kim with G.O.B., he is more concerned if Taiwanese nationals are also involved in the illegal issuance of the Belizean birthright.

“The passport issue…actually I only gather information from the mass media. Now I watch the television and from newspaper. But we are concerned about whether there are some Taiwanese that want to get this passport to become Belizeans legally. Until now, we do not have sufficient information, but we were in collaboration with your government to get more information about that.”

“Has our government not gotten in touch with you in regards to finding out more information on how Kim Wonhong received the Belizean passport?”
David Wu
“We did assist with some information, but we are more concerned about whether there are other Taiwanese that went to get their passports illegally or against the law; we are concerned about that.”

“Is it possible for you to comment on the Minister Edmund Castro situation?”
David Wu
“I will not comment on that. Thank you.”
Minister of State Castro was allegedly involved in inappropriate behavior with a protocol officer of the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs while he was on official duties in Taipei.
I congratulate the first foreign government commenting on this international corruption mess the UDP government have brought us.
Consider over 100,000+ Belizeans live in the US. The fact that US embassy’s impotence to make its position known regarding Belize’s obvious treaty violations say a lot of negative things about the US foreign policy, if it has one for Belize.
Is the US ok with criminals running the GOB? Were they encouraging the Barrow government to do this in some crazy plan to track terrorists? Does the US really know where the country of Belize is actually located? Are US government employees in on the corruption to make their own money on this Barrow scam?
As a US citizen concerned about democracy in Belize and as a US citizen concerned about the national security interests of the US, not seeing my government show some adult leadership is disappointing. I pay these fools to do what?
Being that the NSA taps my phone calls and most likely knows where I am at, at this very minute writing this email, the recent visit of US state department officials from DC to Belize was a clueless affair. I am surprised these guys even know where Belize is. Play dumb or be dumb, which is it boys?

Considering the silence out US Embassy, does the US still have an ambassador in Belize?
Or is Belize some hind tit country, the US could not care jack sh** about?
If the US cannot be a leader, get out of the way, other countries are willing and able to step in.

having a corrupt government and the worst education means 10x in lifestyle, and you they live less.
no wonder Belizeans bolt and move elsewhere.
It is a mess of your own making. Don’t expect the US or Britain to bail you out. You want to be a country, get rid of these parasites, or merge with Mexico or Guatemala.

They seem concern but again a pile of hypocrites oh!! that is why all those donations from the Taiwaneese. To show that they are giving back something. Now a days people don’t do things just for sake. There has to be sonething behind the close doors!!. We the people don’t want to see things were are playing blind also. @Beano, just because the US has not weighed in on this situation does not mean that they are not on this thing. For all you know there could be FBI, CIA, Secret Service all on the ground in Belize at this moment. Phones are probably monitored, text messages collected, trust the US government is not asleep on this.
Could this be why the PM traveled to the US so that there would be no phone info and or text messages available to the US. He needs to be in what he thinks is a safe place to seek advice.
So Beano, there could be a tail on Barrow in the US at this time, watching every move he makes. Unlike Belize the US move in a methodical manner.
When this mess is over I would love to offer my services to my country, come home and help them to put some procedures in place that may help to make these kinds of criminal act harder to commit.
