Former Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie hospitalized
News Five has learned that former Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie is hospitalized, and has been so since last Friday. A family member told News Five that McKenzie started having seizures last week, and an MRI discovered that she had suffered a mini-infarction, or mini-stroke. But there is good news tonight, as we understand that following treatment, McKenzie’s condition is improving steadily, and her family hopes that she will make a full recovery. McKenzie served on the bench for sixteen years, four of them as Chief Magistrate until her contract expired in 2011. News Five joins her family, colleagues and friends in which her a speedy and complete recovery.
