$7 million health project will improve district hospitals
The Ministry of Health is gearing up for large scale renovations to its facilities around the country. The seven million dollar upgrade, to be implemented under the Health Sector Reform Project will include the supply of new ambulances as well as renovations to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk, Western Regional in Belmopan and the Corozal Community Hospital. Smaller centres in San Antonio Toledo, Belmopan and Belize City’s Port Loyola area will also be constructed. Loan funding for the project is being provided by the Inter-American and Caribbean Development Banks.
