Directors resign from K.H.M.H.

That seems like woes aplenty, but there’s even more. News Five has been able to confirm that member of the K.H.M.H. Board of Directors, Maude Sylvester, resigned on Thursday. She is the second K.H.M.H. Board member to resign recently. We are told that the resignations are directly connected to the K.H.M.H.’s Director of Finance, Carlos Perrera. Perrera has been in the spotlight before for questionable use of the K.H.M.H.’s finances, as well as unauthorized travel and travel expenses. Tonight we are told that the Board is adamant that he must go. News Five has also been reliably informed that Perrera last week advised the management team that he will be resigning.

“There was a board meeting yesterday but I was unable to attend. And I can’t really give you an update. As you know the K.H.M.H. is a statutory authority with its own Board of Directors and Directors for the institution. They’ve come a long way. They’re doing a great deal of work. But everything changes. There’s nothing more fundamental than change. But I think it would be best if you direct that particular question to either the Chair of the Board or of course the Chief Executive Officer of the K.H.M.H.”

News Five was, not surprisingly, unable to get comment from either the Chair of the Board or the C.E.O.
