Kenrick Major

A Lord’s Bank man, who was facing prison time for allegedly beating up a man while on a local bus then damaging his shirt, was today reprimand and freed of the offenses of wounding and damage to property. Fifty-two year-old Kenrick Robert Major appeared before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith today for allegations of wounding Nolbert Seguro, who turned out to be a police corporal, and for damaging his shirt valued at one hundred dollars. The incident occurred on June sixteenth.  In court, Major wasted no time and pleaded guilty to damage to property but said gave an explanation to the charge of wounding. He explained that he sat at the back of a Ladyville bus which he caught at the Airport junction. It is while making his way to the back of the bus that water dripped from a bottle in his bag on PC Seguro. He claimed he immediately apologized, but Seguro confronted him, punched him first in his face and pushed him down in the bus. He said that while attempting to defend himself, he tore the officer’s shirt and was then taken off the bus. After he was freed of the charges, Major spoke to News Five.
