Couple charged for drug trafficking on San Pedro
A police raid at the house of a San Pedro couple yielded one hundred and sixty grams of cannabis; that’s five point six ounces. When police arrived at their bungalow house on Laguna Drive, Boca del Rio on Tuesday afternoon, twenty-six year old Reina Galdamez and a child were home. Shortly after, twenty-five year old Karim Gonzalez arrived. The police proceeded to search the house and inside a hidden wooden locker in the kitchen, they found four small compressed parcels of the cannabis in zip lock bags. The couple was escorted to the police station in the island and after the drug was weighed, Gonzalez and Galdamez were charged with drug trafficking.
The Law is pathetic in Belize!!! There was no probable cause to even search the house! The law officers should not be able to descend on any house at any time just because they “think” it is something there! So what if you find something, again you didn’t have probable cause to search the unit/property in the first place.. It seems the more I read the more I am made aware the Human/Civil rights are being continuously violated in this country!!! LET THEM SMOKE CANABIS!! You have no good paying productive jobs for the mass of the citizens and you are bothering them for small things!! Yall are THE SCUM OF THE EARTH!! And you have no regard or respect for others lives. Please, Most High deal with this country and the people in power that are not apart of A SOLUTION, yet they assist to CREATE PROBLEMS……pls deal with them sooner rather than later..
