The debut of “If You Can Sing It, Bring It!”
The wait for Channel Five’s exciting new entertainment show is over. At nine o’clock, the recorded auditions of If You Can Sing, Bring It will premiere right here on this station. We’ve been busy putting the final touches on the show which will blow you away. It’s a totally new format, with the best local talent coached by three professional vocalists after each round of competition. More than fifty aspiring artists auditioned, but only twenty made the cut. Only fifteen of that twenty will make it to the stage at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts for a live show next Tuesday. The power is in your hands. You determine who stays in the competition so when you hear them sing it…get ready to – Bring It. Co-producer of the show Jonathan Kidd explains.
Jonathan Kidd, Co-Producer, If You Can Sing It Bring It
“If You Can Sing It, Bring It; it is the new show at Channel Five and the difference between this show and other shows is that it focuses on the voice. Now in past shows, it has been about entertainment…mostly you see people acting, people dancing. This time it is about the voice. It’s very similar to The Voice in America where we have three coaches that help the contestants throughout the show. Now this show tonight is the auditions. The coaches chose twenty of the almost sixty auditions. Now it is up to the voters tonight to decide who gets to go to the other show. Now the next show is on July first which is Tuesday and it is going to have fifteen. So the people who aren’t in the bottom five as far as votes are concerned are going to be in that show. So this show, you have to just focus on how good the person can sing; you have to focus on experience. You can tell from some of the auditions that certain people have more experience and we are trying to find the next big artist in Belize; that’s the thing.”
Simply text the number of your favourite performer to 5885 using your Smart Phones. So get those phones ready because the text voting begins after tonight’s debut of If You Can Sing it, Bring It.
Channel 5 you guys should have this available on line for us to view. Same as how the news is available online. That would be great.
