Dezerie Phillips is the new Commander of Eastern Division
Among the few women to rise to the top of the force is Dezerie Phillips. The department announced today that the Senior Superintendent of Police, with effect July third, is the new Officer Commanding of the Eastern Division. Phillips took over from Assistant Commissioner of Police, Miguel Segura, who is now acting in the capacity of Deputy Commissioner of Police. Phillips rose up the ranks of the force; she was once the O.C. for Benque Police, before moving up to National Commander for the Community Policing Unit of the Department. Just prior to her new appointment, Phillips was the Deputy Commander of the Eastern Division and headed the Gang Resistance Education Awareness Training program.

Congratulations Dezerie. I know you can do the job.
