Today, a former Gwen Liz teacher was slapped with additional charges of three counts of carnal knowledge for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a minor who was seven years when the abuse started. According to the complaint against Verden Blease, the abuse continued for five years until the child was twelve years. It is not Blease’s first appearance in court for the crime; back in January of this year, he was slapped with seven charges for carnal knowledge and six counts of aggravated assault of an indecent nature. Since he was granted bail before today’s charges, he arrived at court on his own to face the additional charges for carnal knowledge of the minor. Blease re-appeared before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith and because he was out on bail prior to today, his attorney was able to get the court to agree for him to remain on bail. The six counts of aggravated assault of an indecent nature allegedly occurred at different houses where the young girl lived in the five year period. Blease returns to court on August seventh.
Why is this so common in Belize have we become a nation of pedophiles rapist and murderers I suggest that these things started happening when this corrupt pm and gov got in office because the public has a gov of corruption they see the gov is corrupt so why not themselves well I say this man should be castrated and then given a life sentence when the hell will you belizeans get enough of these men raping your children. This guy was on bail for the same charges but thanks to his attorney he will continue on bail [I mean free until scheduled court] so he could do more rapings and more damages . this judiciary system is a big joke. I wonder what will happen if something like this happened to the brilliant attorney or to the “honorable” judge that leave this animal free.
