D.P.P. Office issues directives on case against Nasley Sommerville
Belizeans have been following with much interest the curious case of Nasley Sommerville, formerly the administrator of the Southern Regional Hospital. She has been under investigation for at least a year, for misappropriation of what is said to be hundreds of thousands of dollars. She has been the subject of particular interest in an audit report, which outlines numerous instances in which Sommerville was found to be milking the public purse. It is alleged that over the course of two years, Sommerville made personal use of over three hundred and seventy thousand dollars in the Maternal and Child Health Account at the hospital. And yet, Sommerville has somehow managed to evade criminal and public service sanction. Earlier this week, she was a no-show at a Public Services Commission hearing scheduled in Belmopan, but tonight there is reliable word that she may face criminal action very soon. A senior Police source in Dangriga confirmed to News Five that the office of the D.P.P. was in possession of the Nasley Sommerville file, and recently returned it with additional directives. The Police will now act on those directives, and it is believed that within the week charges could be laid on the evasive administrator. We tried to get comment from Ministry of Health C.E.O., Peter Allen, but were told that he is out of the country.
hmm she is already out of Belize what a joke
