Missing Ipad Turns Up in Ladyville Bakery…
What was attorney Arthur Saldivar’s missing Ipad doing in the home of the Deputy Prime Minister’s brother in Orange Walk? That’s the million dollar question right now for Saldivar. He lost his Ipad at a bakery in Ladyville, and when he tracked it using a built-in feature, it had somehow made its way to a house in Orange Walk, and then back to Ladyville before Police and Saldivar recovered it this morning. It’s shaping up to be a political thriller, and for us it started this morning at the Ladyville Police Station, just minutes after Police located the missing Ipad at E and A Bakery at Ramon’s Plaza.

“The Ipad was missing for the better part of two weeks. Fortunately for me we were able to track it down. Originally it was in Orange Walk and I was prepared to go to Orange Walk to retrieve it there, but this morning it moved and we were able to track it to Ladyville to Ramon’s Plaza. Upon going to Ramon’s Plaza we heard the beacon beeping and the Police went in and we recovered the Ipad from the bakery at Ramon’s Plaza. So presently we have the person that was there detained to find out really and truly what happened.When we got to Ramon’s Plaza I waited for the Police to come because I didn’t want to go in alone and upon approaching the bakery I could hear the beacon beeping and when we got inside there was resistance. The lady didn’t want us to go where I heard the beacon but we still went to the back room where it was and it was in a trunk. Again she was raising objections but it was right there in a black plastic bag. She brought it out, she opened the plastic bag and there was my Ipad.”

“The house we are looking at where you say your Ipad was for the past two weeks….it has distinct features. Have you been able to use your connections to find out who this home belongs to?”

“We’re in the process of doing so and we are inviting the general public to assist in that process. I believe once the images are shown that the ownership of the house would be easily discernible. I have pictures of the house that we got through the satellite and through the technology that’s attached to the Ipad and that I will make available to you so that your viewers can see where it is. The Ipad was in lost mode so I’m not sure if the persons who had it were able to access it and access the information on it but I will know that soon enough.”
Hahaha this is news? A narcissistic lawyer can’t keep track of his iPad and loses it for two weeks before going to look for it? Why didn’t he just go get it when he realized it was gone? I’m glad we can all rest easier now knowing you guys got the lawyer his iPad back! This news is really pathetic!
The fact that this missing iPad made the news amuses me. There are far more important stories happening in Belize than some “Lawyer” missing his iPad. How many items go missing in one day in Belize and failed to be reported? We all know the corruption Belize consists of so please don’t waste my time reporting such foolish reports making one person seem more important than the thousands of people being robbed everyday. I would be far more enlightened to read about something that can be more informative on current events that will actually affect my life. Can we please focus on featuring larger stories on the front page rather than stories like these simply because its concerning someone that is politically involved. Lesson to be learned: Be more responsible.

Its truly amazing how low our people have sunk when it comes to crime. A crime is a crime and it doesn’t matter who it happened to, justice should be done. It should become news because when you trace and track the movement of the Ipad moved from Ladyville to the deputy prime minister’s house. We should be glad the Ipad was retrieved, but it leaves a lot of questions un-answered.
