Why Was Chris Noble Abruptly Transferred From Ladyville Police Station?

Christopher Noble

Remember Rural Executive Officer Assistant Superintendent Chris Noble. He was the officer in charge of the entire rural Belize District. Well, he’s now Fleet Manager Chris Noble, in charge of all the Police vehicles countrywide. Doesn’t quite have the same ring, does it? So what happened? Well, as we understand it, Noble got into an irate discussion with Commissioner of Police Allen Whylie when he wasn’t promoted along with one hundred and sixty-six of his colleagues. And that was that. But it wasn’t. Noble was allegedly in a meeting recently when he received a summons to Belmopan, where he was handed a letter informing him that he is now basically the supervisor of the Police Garage. Long story short, Noble is allegedly on long leave while he ponders his future with the Police Department. Today we asked Commissioner of Police Allen Whylie for a comment, but he refused, so we asked C.E.O. George Lovell. He told us that it’s not a demotion…well, not exactly.

“I was informed by the Commissioner that they reposted him from Commander of the Ladyville Branch to transport. Reposting is a purview of the Commissioner so it is something that the Ministry would not necessarily interfere with, so he was reposted.”

Reporter

“Do you find the way he was moved extraordinary, because I do? He’s a senior officer. He’s actually not the commander of Ladyville, he’s the Rural Executive officer, and he didn’t even know that he was being reposted.”

George Lovell

“I had a discussion with Noble, and I believe Noble can speak for himself. I also had a discussion with the Commissioner and it is also clear to me listening to both of them that they both agree that whatever differences they have and whatever transpired, to work around that for the betterment of the Police continuum. So the reposting is something that is set and it is something that the Commissioner and Noble can speak to. I didn’t believe that the posting to Transport would have been a demotion or put him in a position where his abilities would have been less utilized. Noble had done an exceptional job as the officer that was responsible for that area, and I know that he will continue to do an exceptional job as the Transport Officer for the Police Department.”

Reporter

“Sir however he goes from an area where he was supervising over seventy officers to an area where he will be supervising only five or eight as a garage supervisor. How can that not be viewed as a demotion?”

Ret’d Col. George Lovell

“It is not a demotion. If you look at the rank structure for Transport you note first of all that the amount of responsibility he has is for the entire fleet of the Police Department countrywide. He will be the Fleet Manager at Transport for the Police.”

According to Lovell…Noble is still a Police Officer with a lot of responsibility and a lot of authority.

    He probably wanted to report corruption in this gov. Or they wanted him to do something corrupt and refusing they then demoted him to the mechanic shop what a slap in the face .

    Whylie has been carrying a monkey on his back since his days of childhood poverty and social disadvantage and is unlikely to shed it anytime soon. This is the basis for an abiding psychopathy and constant need for self-assertion through the meting out of abuse. Why do you think he looks 55 instead of his 45? He most likely won’t reach 50. He will implode under his own weight. That he has been getting away with bullying subordinates for so long is a testament to the naivete of his superiors, past and present, who don’t have the intelligence to see past the carapace of humility and subservience and see him for what he really is. Chris Noble is just one in a long series of victims. It’s like a serial killer. He won’t stop until he’s ‘caught.’ Hell, BTK ran amok for 30 years before he was caught. Come to think of it, Whylie’s personality profile is very similar to that of BTK—church-going family man community leader on the outside, deranged sociopath on the inside.

  6. tsk tsk tsk says:

    Whylie = why + lie
    Chris is a great cop. This move shows the level of insecurity and pettiness that exist. People wonder why there is little progress.
