Multiple Injuries as Bus and Pickup Collide

There was a serious accident on the Phillip Goldson Highway this morning. It happened between miles six and seven, where a loaded Ramos Shuttle Bus heading from Lord’s Bank to the city crashed almost head on into a red pickup truck, driven at the time by thirty-one year old Hugo Campos. The impact was massive, and the pickup truck was totalled. Campos survived, and was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, along with injured passengers from the bus. Mike Rudon was on the scene shortly after it happened and has the story.

Traffic on the Phillip Goldson Highway was brought to a standstill this morning because of a collision between a Ramos Shuttle Bus and a small red pickup. The bus ended up off the side of the road in the bushes, while the badly damaged truck blocked the highway. Bert Ramos, owner of the Bus Line, got a call from his driver at two minutes past eleven, immediately after the accident.
