Cousins Remanded for Burglary
Two cousins were remanded to prison today after they were charged in connection with a tire shop burglary. Ninety-six tires were stolen from Quality Used Tires on Central American Boulevard on August fifteenth and sixteenth and police believe that Henry and Rodrick Pitts are the persons responsible for the brazen burglary. Today, when they appeared in court, Henry was charged with Burglary while Rodrick was charge with Handling Stolen Goods. Both Henry and Rodrick appeared unrepresented before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith where they were arraigned for the charges.
Henry was offered bail of five hundred dollars plus one surety of the same amount, and is due back in court on October twenty-ninth. The prosecutors, however, objected to bail in respect of Rodrick who was remanded to Central Prison until September fifteenth. Allegations are that between August fifteenth and sixteenth, Henry entered Quality Used Tires as a trespasser and allegedly stole ninety-five tires valued at six thousand six hundred and sixty-five dollars. On the same day, Rodrick was found in possession of nine of the stolen tires that his relative had been accused of stealing from the tire shop.
Any company that let’s someone walk out the door with 90 tires probably helped doing it one or two tires I can see but 90 tires that means this man was stealing tires all day long and no one noticed something is wrong there.
