Cop Remanded to Hattieville Prison for Aggravated Assault With a Firearm
Tonight, a cop is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after the D.P.P. handed down her directives to have him charged for an allege gunplay incident which is said to have occurred back in February of this year, between miles twenty-five and twenty-six on the George Price Highway. Police Constable, thirty-two-year-old Linsdale Blease, who is attached to the Domestic Violence Unit of the department, was arraigned late this evening before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith for two charges: one count of aggravated assault with a firearm upon Cordel Duran and one count of wantonly discharging a firearm in a public place. PC Blease pleaded not guilty to both charges, but due to the nature of the crime, bail was denied and he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until October twenty-second. He was represented by attorney, B.Q. Pitts. The incident is said to have occurred on February third of this year when Duran alleges that PC Blease approached him and pulled out a firearm at him. He says Blease then pointed the gun to the ground and fired a shot.

Cops carry weapons as their tool, they are “trained” to use it and they have codes of conduct that they should adhere to and when ever they discharge their weapon they need to give account to make sure it was justified.
If the cop is proven to have done something wrong then punish him but lock him up in prison before a trial for what was described above, in my opinion is pretty stupid!
