Major Drug Destruction in Dangriga

This morning, in the outskirts of Dangriga, a drug destruction operation took place. Two batches of both cocaine and marijuana went up in smoke, all in all, a total of one hundred and sixty-nine parcels of the drugs.  It included evidence presented in court for which the cases have concluded as well as drugs classified as found property. The destruction was done in the presence of Dangriga Police exhibit keeper, Sergeant Francine Solano, Deputy Officer Commanding Dangriga Police, ASP Mark Stevens and Rachel Cabral from the National Forensics Unit and a Justice of the Peace.

According to Sergeant Solano both the cocaine and cannabis were obtained in the Stann Creek District during police operations.
