“We also manage some other projects which is clubfoot program. We also do a spina bifida program and you know the spina bifida is very complex; it is a multi-disciplinary service that we have to offer so it entails orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and this is where….urology. So we have all these services ongoing and like I say if anybody knows of any case, they don’t necessarily have to wait until the mission is here. They can refer the patients to us before so we make sure that we have all the testing done and everything in preparation for when the mission arrives.”

“How is it that you guys continue doing the work that you do given the fact that most of these services that you give are free of cost?”

“The only fundraising that we do in the country of Belize is by asking hoteliers to donate vacation packages because every year in Richmond, we have a huge event where we fundraise most of the funding that goes into bringing these missions to Belize and also taking the children to the states. So we ask high-end hoteliers to donate vacation packages and it is the time to tell all those hoteliers thank you so much because it is their vacation packages that make all this possible.”
