98-Year-Old Woman Raped in Belize City

There is an utterly disturbing report tonight concerning the alleged rape of a ninety-eight-year-old Belize City woman.  The incident occurred on Friday night while the elderly woman was asleep at home.  It is reported that sometime after one a.m., in the wee hours of Saturday morning, a prowler entered her residence by breaching the door.  What happened next is unthinkable, as the intruder then proceeded to forcibly have intercourse with her, before threatening to kill her if she reported the incident to the authorities.  News Five understands that the nonagenarian was left home alone when her relatives went out.  Upon their return, they were told of the harrowing experience; however, police are yet to be formally notified.  A search of the vicinity in hope that her attacker would be found subsequently proved fruitless, but it is strongly believed that the attacker is someone from the neighborhood.
