Gapi Vega to Sue Ramon Cervantes Jr. for Defamation of Character
On July fifth, 2014, the battered body of Ramon Cervantes Sr. was found buried in a shallow grave on a farm outside of Orange Walk Town. He had been kidnapped a week before and then beaten to death. Three men were arrested for the crime. One other man, Manuel ‘Pelon’ Castillo, was suspected of masterminding the murder, but allegedly fled the country. Four months later, on November fifth, the Cervantes family released a recording of a phone call allegedly made to them by Manuel Castillo. That recording shocked the nation, as it contained disturbing allegations by the man purporting to be Castillo, claiming that Deputy Prime Minister Gaspar Vega was involved. Those shockwaves have now resulted in a legal rampage and the DPM is threatening two media houses and Ramon Cervantes Jr. with lawsuits. News Five has received a copy of the letter sent to Cervantes. It states that the allegations of Vega’s involvement in the murder, or any criminal activity, were “baseless, untrue and amounted to a very serious libel on our client and have cause him considerable distress and embarrassment and have put him and his family in fear for his own safety and wellbeing.” 
The letter from legal firm Barrow and Williams continues to state that, “our client requires of you as a matter of urgency a full and unequivocal public retraction and apology in terms to be approved by us, and an undertaking not to repeat the allegations….we have also advised our client that he is entitled to substantial compensation on an aggravated basis for the injury to his reputation and in his office as a Minister of Government, and injury to his feelings. As to this compensation, we invite your proposals. ” For the purported injury to his reputation and his hurt feelings, the letter also demands payment of all legal fees, and a response by no later than Monday, or they will sue. The media houses which received letters today are CTV-3 in Orange Walk and Love FM.

They are inequitable robbing the Belizean people of their right to freedom of speech. Vega is GUILTY. He is a murderer and the SueDP Cartel is backing him up, defending him and making sure he does not pay for it. The SueDP is nothing more than a GANG or even worst the actual Belizean Mafia with links to the Mexican Mafia. That’s why they cannot curb the gang problem in Belize. They don’t want to. Just look, all of them are Lawyers and put bread on their tables through criminal activities. If there were no crimes, they won’t eat. And they are a bunch of Gangsters themselves. Why would they want to eliminate their own lifestyle and way of living. SUE ME, BITCHES!!!
