Cop Remanded for Carnal Knowledge

A police officer from the village of in Seine Bight in Southern Belize is in trouble with the law tonight. A minor is accusing him of having sexual intercourse with her at about two A.M. on Sunday. The underage girl claims that the officer had sex with her at his house in the village. A medical examination certifies the young girl is carnally known; a twenty-eight year old police constable is detained pending charges. There is another case of carnal knowledge. A minor of Benque Viejo claims that on the twenty-six of October she met Martin Cruz, an acquaintance. He invited her to San Ignacio where he took her to a hotel and had sex with her as well as on several other occasions in October and November. Police are looking for Cruz. Also in the west, another minor of the Santa Cruz area claims that she and her sister were walking on George Price Avenue, Santa Elena Town about two A.M. on Sunday, when a car pulled up beside them and one of the occupants forced her into the vehicle. She was then taken to the Branch Mouth area where the two male persons reportedly had sexual intercourse with her against her will. Police has since detained twenty-one year-old Avery Bahadur, a truck driver of Santa Elena Town and eighteen year old Craig Molina of Santa Elena Town pending investigation.
