Good Samaritan Shot During Robbery in San Pedro

As we said, Carlos Najera is the Good Samaritan who almost became a dead Samaritan after he was shot by a robber in San Pedro. At around one-twenty this afternoon four young men attempted to rob the World Class Fashion Store located on Pescador Drive. Two women about to enter the store allegedly noticed what was happening and alerted a group of cable technicians standing in front of Coral Cable Vision. That’s when technician Najera approached the young men coming out of the store and told them to stop. The robber did stop, at least long enough to shoot Najera in the left leg near his knee before all four of them fled the scene. News five understands that one person has been detained for questioning. Najera was airlifted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital while Police continue to process the scene. He is currently listed in stable condition, though the wound to his knee is considered serious.

    Putting his life on the line for others, and then thrown in the back of a tuck bed? Come on San Pedro.. show the man some dignity and honer.

    It’s so sad to think that this is what’s it’s come to. When a business can be robbed in broad daylight on Ambergris it is time to;
    Suspend civil rights…
    Do a house to house search of the entire country for drugs, illegal immigrants, & warrents
