Is A Policeman Involved in Valley of Peace Murder?

In the very early hours of Saturday morning, Valley of Peace resident Donatilo Canales was shot dead in his yard in the village. His wife heard multiple gunshots minutes after the fifty-four year old family man went outside with a lamp to check why his dogs were barking. When he didn’t return to the house after the shots, his wife enlisted the aid of a neighbour to search for him. He was found dead, riddled with bullets. The official Police report, which referred to the death of Canales as a shooting incident and not a murder, claims that a nine millimetre Glock pistol and four expended shells were found near the body. But now Belmopan Police are saying that no weapon was found on the scene, just four expended shells. So who shot and killed Donatilo Canales? Well the family believe that a Police officer is responsible, one who had tangled with Canales before several times. They have told that story to Belmopan Police who are investigating the matter. Today Superintendent Howell Gillett confirmed to News Five that they have taken a report from that Police officer, but that there is nothing at this time which points to him as a suspect in the crime. We also note that while the official story now is that no Glock pistol was found on the scene, Belmopan Police say they have a Glock nine millimetre pistol in their possession. That pistol is the private weapon of the officer the Canales family believes is responsible for their loved one’s death. Police have sent it for ballistics tests, and are awaiting the results.

Valley of Peace is a beautiful village, but thete is a lot of people
That all they do is crap, and worse ;the residents are afraid
of such people, but they know who are this people and what
They do. Honestly I don’t think police kill that man, is just
A next deal gone bad, typically for a drug dealer

  2. Al Rich says:

Who knows Mr. Canales if he is a drug dealer was in business with the police somehow and refused to pay for protection or give the cop his share of the profits. In this country anything is possible, you can’t tell who is honest and who isn’t. Whatever is at the top in a country eventually finds itself down to the bottom. Sad, sad, sad.

  3. Islander says:

It is sad that the police man is being targeted for this. The relatives should know that part of drug dealing is the killing of each other when things go sour.

As per Glock pistols, they are the most common pistol in the world, by the rule of averages almost all gun owners own a Glock.
