Omar Figueroa Sworn In
Cayo North Area Representative Omar Figueroa has been sworn in as Minister of State in the Barrow administration after soundly defeating P.U.P. opponent Richard Harrison at the polls a week ago. This evening, at the Belize House in Belmopan, Figueroa was administered an oath by Governor General Sir Colville Young to serve the constituents of the division. Figueroa’s appointment in the Officer of the Prime Minister is with immediate effect, but it is not known what will be his specific responsibilities.

“I, Omar Figueroa, do swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to Belize and will uphold the constitution and the law and that I will conscientiously, impartially and to the best of my ability discharge my duties as a Minister of State and do right to all manner of people without fear or favor, affection or ill-will so help me God.”
Figueroa’s swearing-in was attended by family and friends, as well as political supporters.


bla bla bla bla, perish in hell all you politician. Every swear il do this, il abide by that, il uphold the constitution and the law and they go do the opposite. The Bad part is that they swear holding the Bible, so again politician you all can go to hell!!
