Cop Accused of Unlawful Sex Gets Bail

A cop from Independence who has been charged for having sexual intercourse with a minor appeared before the Supreme Court today. Patrick O’Brien was charged this week and while it takes up to two weeks for a bail application to be heard, O’Brien was fortunate to be granted one today. He appeared before Justice Troadio Gonzalez; there was no objection to bail by the D.P.P.’s office so the judge granted one in the sum of eight thousand dollars which O’Brien paid up by this afternoon. The police officer is accused of having sexual intercourse with a minor whose nude pictures were circulated on social media.
