Brandon Tillett Acquitted of Assaulting Police Officer

Brandon Tillett

Popular George Street associate, twenty-nine-year-old Brandon ‘BET’ Tillett was freed of wounding, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.  Back in August 2014, Tillett was accused of wounding Police Officer Abner Itza. The officer claimed that Tillett bumped him in his face and hit him on the nose which caused it to split open. Tillett, who appeared in court today, wasn’t called upon to answer to the three criminal offenses, and instead he was said to be the victim of police brutality. Tillett who was said to have been observed with laceration to the forehead and abrasions to the body, was able to produce a medical certificate was presented in court which showed that he had sustained injuries classified as wounding. Tillett’s attorney, Brian Neal, also pointed out in court that his client was handcuffed at the time that Itza is claiming he was assaulted and suffered nose injuries. Tillett, through his attorney, is planning to sue the police officers and the police department for the injuries he sustained.
