Case on Destruction of Noh Mul Goes Before the Court
Two years after it was grazed to the ground, the case of the destruction of the Noh Mul archaeological site came up this morning before Magistrate Hurl Hamilton. U.D.P. Standard bearer, Denny Grijlva and employees of DeMar’s Stone Company are answering charges for destroying the ancient monument located in Orange Walk District. When the case commenced, the prosecutor, Kileru Awich indicated to the court that the files were just handed over to him and asked Magistrate Hamilton for an adjournment based on that ground. Grijalva’s Attorney, Bryan Neal, objected pointing out that the matter has been before the courts for two years, and submitted that the case either proceed or be struck out. The magistrate decided today that the case be transferred to Belize City this Friday where it can get attention.
Denny Grijlva is protected!
What a farce of a prosecution, it should have ended winals ago.
