Briceño Supports Fonseca as P.U.P. Leader

Only one politician issued a public declaration of his support for Francis Fonseca today. Even before the leaked recording, Briceño has been seen by many as the man to replace an embattled Fonseca, retaking the reins he dropped in late 2011. In fact, in the recording, Briceño reveals that he was forced to step down because nobody else in the party was helping him financially and that he had spent three million dollars of his own money on party matters. Briceño says in the recording that he would have bankrupted his business and family and so decided to step down. Today, all speculation about a possible political coup was put to bed.

“I stand here as a proud member of the People’s United Party. I believe in the principles and the policies of the People’s United Party, and as a party supporter we have one leader. That leader is the Hon. Francis Fonseca. I support Francis Fonseca. I support his leadership. I’ve been working along with him and with members of the National Executive and also with other standard bearers. I want to make it abundantly clear that the enemy is not within us. The enemy is outside of the P.U.P. We have one enemy and that is the United Democratic Party. We believe that this country needs the People’s United Party back in government. It is only when you have a P.U.P. government that you have true development…that we build schools, highways, we create jobs for people…not artificial jobs like what is being created right now. We create dignity for the Belizean people.”
No, you don’t! And nobody else does. Have a backbone and stop being spineless. This is no time to be politically correct. This is a state of emergency and honesty is the best policy. Why are you regurgitating now. For this nobody will continue to support you either. You all need to get rid of Said Musa and turn the leadership of the Party over to Cordel Hyde. People trust him and will re-elect the Party under his leadership. He is one of us.
Don’t go back Johnny. Not too late to absolve yourself from the criticism directed at you. Stand your Ground. The party is you and your followers. Not those sitting at Independence Hall!
It is only six people that need to be replaced and u good to go. That should be easy!

Johnny knows he needs to be loyal to Fonseco and Musa….it was under their leadership that he got his money. And now that he he is caliming to have spent millions on the party….he knows he needs to recoup that money…back.
Insanity: doing the same things over and over yet expecting a different result. Lets hope that the PUP will be able to redefine themselves, pull itself out of the clutches of insanity, and become a true opposition that will beneficial and relevant to Belize’s Development. No sane populace can accept what Briceno said they did.
Very sadly so it appears that this is a deadly deviation and devious behavior. Anyone who talks with anyone about another’s behavior outside of the leadership loop, has failed as leader. If Briceno had any leadership skills he would have never place his trust in anyone outside of the loop and party’s executive to discuss the current so-called leadership crisis. When there is a problem internally, you take the bull by the horn and confront the problem, Clearly this appears to be a setup by some evil external forces trying to derail and dismantle the PUP.
Naturally, the fools are falling all over the place for this gimmick. The PM himself predicted this a few weeks ago. The writing on the wall is clear. This is a move to divide and conquer the PUP. The cancer of the party is Briceno’s greed for power. Who died and made Briceno so honest? Wake up Belizeans this is clearly an effort to break the backs of PUP believers.
It is good all this news has come out because it is not something that we didn’t know. I am tired of hearing this one did this or this one did that, stop pointing fingers especially the UDP’s cause you are not doing anything different. Fixed the problem and stop complaining because that is not helping in anyway. For the one who passed as a true friend to Johnny, shame on you because he trusted you just pray to GOD that someday that friend that you betrayed won’t be the friend you go back to for help. In this life what goes around comes around and everyone gets its turn. Johnny so called friend you are a JUDAS and you should do what JUDAS did hang yourself because friend like you is not needed in this world. Enjoy the money you received from the UDP because I know you benefited from that recording.
biggest MISTAKE OF HIS POLITICAL CAREER he should stand up agaisnt those scums and try lead his party. The minute he said that you’ve lost the people interest. damn!!!! he should have taken a minute or two to think it over before he state his support for the scums.
