PM Cagey on Timing of General Elections

Dean Barrow

With Panton set to be installed, PM Barrow is setting up conventions in Belize Rural North, Orange Walk South and Caribbean Shores. Like we said, it’s all fine-tuning for general elections which Barrow really can call at his whim. Today he confirmed that it won’t be this year…or will it?

Dean Barrow, U.D.P. Leader

“I have no intention of calling elections this year, but indeed in politics any number can play. That’s all I’m saying. It is still my position that no elections should happen this year but I wouldn’t want if something dramatic would happen that made me and the government feel we have to go now…I can’t exclude that possibility and I’ll put it no higher than that.”

which ever government paves Guinea Grass Road will never loose Orange Walk South…We are one of the largest villages in the entire Orange Walk District yet we have one of the worst roads. They need to realize we have the largest amount of Voters in Orange Walk South.
