Romy Badillo Passes Away in Guatemala

At about three o’clock today veteran seaman and well-known Belizean Romaldo “Romy” Badillo passed away in Guatemala. It is tragic news for his family and many friends who have been praying for his recovery since he was hurt in a boat explosion on Holy Thursday, April second. His family is in Guatemala and has been since the weekend. We were told that late last week the fifty-nine year old took a turn for the worst, after infection resulting from the second degree burns he suffered could not be contained. Tonight, we revisit a story which we aired after the tragic accident.
