16 Year Old Roaring Creek Resident Arraigned for Agric Murder
There is another arrest regarding a murder last weekend. A sixteen year old minor from Roaring Creek is tonight spending his first night behind bars following his arraignment for the fatal stabbing of Dernell Brown at the Agricultural Show Grounds. The minor is accused of stabbing Brown to the right side of the head following an alleged fight between him and a group of boys. Twenty-four year old Brown, who had been living in Teakettle for the past two months, was hanging out with a group of friends at around ten-thirty that night when he was stabbed. Brown was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital and then to the K.H.M.H. with the knife still lodged in his head; he died on Monday morning. Three persons were initially being sought by Belmopan police, but today, police took the minor to court.

“We investigated. We had a number of statements indicating that he was the person that had done the crime.”
Duane Moody
“Sir earlier when we spoke about it, you said that there were three persons that were wanted in connection with it. Have they been charged? What’s the next step with that?”
Via Phone: Supt. Howell Gillett
“No, they have not been charged. What happen is that when we started the investigation, it was wide and we narrowed it down.”
“Now sir, has this person been arraigned as yet?”
Via Phone: Supt. Howell Gillett
“Yes, yes, he has been sent to court already. I can’t remember the date of his adjournment.”
Duane Moody
“But he was arraigned today?”
Via Phone: Supt. Howell Gillett
“Yes, yes. Today, yes.”
The minor has been remanded until August seventh when he is to reappear before the Belmopan court.

And that is why so many people will not go to these type of public events. It is just too damn dangerous! The police can not even attempt to secure these venues. They have neither the training, equipment, nor motivation to do so. Where are the parents of these monsters roaming among us?
