Man Who Killed Mango Picker Granted Bail of $10,000

A number of bail applications were heard today in the Supreme Court before Justice Troadio John Gonzalez including three are high profile cases.  Ladyville businessman, Hilberto Perez, who was charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of sixty year old Daniel Trapp, received bail of ten thousand dollars. Trapp was allegedly shot after he was seen picking mangoes at Perez’s yard. He was found on a feeder road close to Perez’s farm and his relatives say that before he collapsed and died, he told them he had been shot by Perez.  Ladyville bus driver, Conrad Roaches, who was arraigned weeks ago for the attempted murder of his ex-common law wife Sherima Graham, also received bail but in the sum of eighteen thousand dollars.  Allegations are that on April twenty-fifth,  2015 in Lord’s Bank, at around midnight, Roaches gained entry into Graham’s house and beat her up so badly that she fell unconscious and had to be hospitalized. Her condition has since worsened and she has been taken overseas for treatment. Also granted bail today was Tanisha Elizabeth Sutherland. She is accused of forging the signature of her ex boss, a Canadian national and cashing a number of cheques amounting to just under four thousand dollars. The forgery took place between October and December 2014.
