But Fonseca Says Finances Limited
Today, Fonseca was on the ground in Dangriga, and we are told that the call has gone out to all Standard-Bearers to rally the troops and report for duty. Passion and determination aside, the P.U.P. is strapped for cash, and Fonseca told us that he intends to make no apologies for focusing on the upcoming general elections, and not on the bye-election.

“We are in no position to match the U.D.P. when it comes to financing. That’s clear. So yes, that is always a challenge. We will continue to put as much resources as we possibly can available to us into this bye-election, but I have made no secret about it and I make no apologies for it to say that our focus is on the general election. That is where our attention must be. That is where our resources must go. Every seat is important and the bye-election is important, but I make no apologies for saying that our eyes are centred firmly on the national general elections. That is the real prize. We understand that it is important to change this government. That is what Belizeans want. So we are focused on the general elections. But we understand the need to fight in this bye-election. That is the spirit and history of the People’s United Party. We must put up a fight and we are going to do so, but we make no apologies in saying that our focus is on the general elections.”
We have been able to confirm that U.D.P. heavy-hitters including Deputy Prime Minister Gaspar Vega are already on the ground in Dangriga.

This basically indicates he expects a defeat.
He is still dreaming .Wake up men. Only when there is a situation like this people see you out in the rural areas . You think that people just live in the cities or towns. Wake up. Remember in the last gen election the rural areas gave the strongest support to this party, but thousands are loosing confidence on you due to the incompetence of leadership in our party.
