Who Is Flippin’s Mystery Confidant?

Melvin Hulse

It is not known with whom the conversation was, or where it took place, but from what Hulse says, it took place last week.

Voice of: Melvin Hulse, U.D.P. Standard Bearer, Stann Creek West

“You don’t need more, having forty people in the national assembly doesn’t make you more government. It’s just to say well I beat the P.U.P. and I have money now and I could spend money and I could out spend them and I could beat them. Nobody ready. Pawpa has gotten no money to do things. Dean is running the show, so he hurry call Ministry of Works and tell them to hurry send nine hundred thousand dollars to do some works in Dangriga. They just sent it over today. How he could do things in thirty days? Next week dah the nomination day; bye-election is the eight of July.  I have noticed in my lifetime that people ego make them lose common sense. I’ve noticed that in my lifetime. Noh cut off your nose to spite your face, it takes time, and it’s not always the time. What you have to prove? That you can win a bye-election and that you have more money? I disagreed with it when ih do it with Omar. Why are you spending good money?  You are not helping the U.D.P.s; yo noh di help the U.D.P.s with money or to get things done. You gonna buy a P.U.P. and then spend two million dollars to win a bye-elections. You know what we could have done with that money.”

All this man is saying makes much sense and his advice is solid. Reality is he will be penalized for speaking out like this and the people will continue to suffer because of arrogance.
