Explosive: Melvin Hulse “Flips” Out on PM in Recorded Conversation

A politically sensational tape recording dropped like a bomb shell early this morning. It came from the U.D.P. and it is about the U.D.P.  Melvin Hulse, the standard bearer for the party in the Stann Creek West constituency, who is also a former U.D.P. Minister, has held back nothing in lambasting his PM, Dean Barrow. Hulse makes a direct accusation that the PM is arrogant accusing him of wanting to be the only elected three-time prime minister. Hulse claims that this obsession has caused the PM to embark on a spending spree and that the PM has no interest in the country and that all he wants is to win back to back to back.  These and other allegations in the tape recording are so damming that PM Barrow quickly fired back by threatening political and legal consequences against Hulse. In the recent conversation in which Hulse was likely recorded unknown to him, makes serious allegations about large monies promised and paid to certain politicians. While the allegations have been made before, it is the first time that a U.D.P. insider is heard speaking of it. Tonight, we air parts of the thirteen minute recording as well as the reaction from the PM, Ivan Ramos and the P.U.P.

So the P.U.P. executive in Dangriga was not told, the P.U.P. headquarters were not told, Francis was not told, nobody was told. But we wa have fun because I don’t think anybody get paid yet. But Dean is trying to push it, he not even consult. Pawpa Mena noh di run anything. Dean is dictating; dah Dean who sets the time. He di call it right away; Patrick, Audrey, Alberto August…all of them are running things. Pawpa won’t get money to go and pay, not to pay the right people ina Dangriga. Belize city will run it and Ramos will never ever vote for U.D.P. and so if they continue like this and they don’t hurry pay Ramos, they will have fun. They will have fun in Dangriga you know.”
